Timbers 6" Tall
6" x 6" x 8' = 4.00 sq. ft.
Timbers 5" Tall
6" x 5" x 8' = 3.33 sq. ft.
To find the number of timbers needed.
Divide the total square footage of wall by the appropriate number above.  Include bottom row and dead men.  Approximately 1 dead men per four timbers is figured into the total.
Example: 200 sq ft wall / 3.33 sq ft (5" timbers) = 60 timbers x 0.25 (for deadmen) = 15. Total timbers needed 60 + 15 = 75 timbers.
